Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Diners: an optional display name, optional payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal), and the bill data you create — sessions, items, claims, tips, and settlement records.
- Restaurant owners: your email address (for sign-in), venue name, table setup, and the bills you publish.
- Diners don't need an account — sessions use an anonymous identity created on your device.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) on infrastructure in the United States. Some preferences (your profile, in-progress bills, table layouts) are also kept in your browser's local storage on your own device.
Payments
Card and wallet payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment processing.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't run ads or third-party advertising trackers.
- We don't contact you except about the service itself.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember your profile, crew, and in-progress bills. We don't use advertising cookies.
Deleting your data
Email areibifamily@gmail.com from the relevant account (or with your session details) and we'll delete your data within 30 days. You can also clear your device's local storage at any time to remove everything stored locally.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes to how we handle existing data will be flagged in the app.
