Server quick-start: split & pay at the table
Guests scan the QR tent on the table, see the check on their own phones, split it, and pay. No app to download, nothing to install.

Open the portal
On any phone, go to letsplitit.pages.dev/restaurant. The owner signs in with their email + the 6-digit code it sends. Stay signed in on the floor device for the whole shift.

Tap the table, enter the bill
Pick the table on the floor plan, then add each item: name + price. Tax is added automatically. You can edit items at any time, even after guests have scanned.

Point guests to the QR tent
Every table has a permanent printed QR tent. Just say:
“Scan the QR code to view and split your check.” -
Guests split and pay, right there
They split by item, evenly, or custom amounts, add a tip, and pay by card or Apple Pay at the table. Or one guest simply pays the whole check. You don't handle their phones or cards.

Watch the chip, then close the table
On the floor plan, the table's chip turns amber while payment is awaited. When the check clears, close the table; the same QR tent is ready for the next party.

Quick answers
- Guest's phone won't scan?
- They can type letsplitit.pages.dev in their browser and tap “Join a friend's bill”, then enter the 6-letter code shown on another guest's phone.
- Wrong item on the bill?
- Edit it in the portal: tap the table, fix the item. Guests see the change live on their phones; no need to rescan.
- Did they actually pay?
- Trust the floor plan, not the guest's screen: the table chip turns from amber only when the payment has cleared.
